EPCs

If you are selling or renting out your property, whether through an estate agent or privately, you will need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

An EPC provides ratings for the energy performance and environmental impact of a property from "A" (most efficient) to "G" (least efficient) and makes suggestions as to what you can do to improve the rating.

Failure to provide an EPC may result in fines being issed by Trading Standards.

An EPC is valid for 10 years and can be reused as many times as necessary during that time.

At Harland & Co we can check the EPC database to find out whether or not your property already has a certificate. If there is no certificate we can put you in touch with an accredited energy assessor who will visit your property, carry out an assessment and produce the certificate.
